Plate 4 of a series of aquatints of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, titled 'Viaduct across the Sankey Valley'. It was engraved by Henry Pyall, after an image by Thomas Talbot Bury, and was published by R. Ackermann, London, 1831.

The Sankey Viaduct was so impressive that the railway ran special trains to visit it. Passengers had an hour to admire the nine arches spanning the valley.
