Bundle of letters from Charles Beyer to Henry Robertson

Bundle of 14 letters sent from Charles Beyer to Henry Robertson. The contents of these letters relate to the search for and cost of tools and other aspects regarding the Gorton Foundry; information regarding individual orders; a visit by Christopher Peel to apologise for his behaviour and asking Beyer not to inform his father of his actions; payments by customers; problems with engines due to certain aspects of the manufacturing process; and Beyer's preparations to visit Sweden.

A letter dated the 14 December 1854 also makes reference to a lawsuit that Robertson was facing at the time.

There is also a letter from William Bradshaw regarding his visit to Portugal and his work with the Algawa and D. Luiz engines.
