I return you many thanks for
yr Letter & the Specimens you sent me, I
beg you wou’d not mind any Method in picking
them out, but pull up any Duplicates you [illegible]
with as yo are placing yr things in Order.
I shall be Extreamly Sorry if your going abroad
shou’d give a Turn to yr Inclinations for these
sort of studies since there is Great hopes of their
being much Improv’d by a gentleman of yr Industry
& Abilities.

I beg I may not be disappointed
of the pleasure of seeing you here before yo
leave England, & the favour of seeing the
Bishop of Exeter will be duly acknowledg’d
by me, as I am very desirous of Cultivating
an Acquaintance with persons whose incli=
=nations lend them to these sort of Enquiries
of which I have ever been very fond. I shall
hope to see you as soon as the snow is
gone & am
