Revd. & dear Sir
I owe you an apology
for not answering your letter of March
[illegible]. The fact is, I have been very
seriously ill for many weeks of asthemic
Bronchitis & am only just out of the
Doctor’s hands. He however orders me
off to Southport, for change of air & [illegible]
[illegible] study and sedentary
recouperation for at least a fortnight.
I had made considerable progress
in the preparation of about ten sets of
British mosses before my attack of
illness, and if [illegible] I hope to send
you one of these completed before long.
I have at least 400 species in good
[illegible]
Excuse [illegible] & believe me
Most [illegible] respectfully
Yours
W. Wilson
