Copy of an agreement between Richard Trevithick and William Sims the younger

Trevithick sells to Sims a half share in the benefits from Devon and Cornwall of patent no. 3922 [1815] relating to improvements to steam engines. The patent and the associated specification are to be deposited with Davies Giddy Engr. Arrangements are agreed for disputes and for the administration of the agreement while Trevithick is abroad however, the agreement is deemed inapplicable to engines already worked upon the principle of the patent. The manuscript bears the names of Trevithick and Sims and, as witnesses, R. Edmonds of Penzance, solicitor and Mr Blewett his clerk.
