Letters from Charles Tulley to John Lecky

The earlier letter, (MS/1187/1), replies to Lecky's request for a telescope and gives detailed suggestions for construction, mounting etc. The later letter, (MS/1187/2), announces its despatch. Both letters bear pencil notes in a different hand, one stating 'This must have been the Telescope Josh. Pike gave to Newtown School'.
