Letter from William Buckland to C D Archibald

Buckland advises Archibald to deposit the fossils which he has collected in North America with the Geological Society of London on his return. He identifies a bone sketched previously by Archibald as the femur of an elephant or mastodon and discusses this case in relation to previous finds in North America. Buckland advises on excavation and hardening techniques.
