Chalmers that I have never [illegible]
an observatory on the [illegible]
Hill [illegible] Astronomical ob-
servations [?] were made. That
it is merely nominal [underlined] ober-
vatory unprovided with in-
struments or observers.
The Lat & Long. of Edin

made at Hawkhill, where
the late [name illegible] had
an observatory with very
good instruments. From these
the position of the College is
