The report was made by J Walker to the Commissioners and Trustees of Newhaven Harbours and Piers. Walker recommends various measures to improve the port below the bridge, including plans and estimates for putting said measures into effect. The report names the Government Commissioners of Harbours of Refuge of 1839 and 1845. It also includes a lithograph plan of Newhaven Harbour, revised and extended July 1810, drawn for John Rennie's Report, copied November 1846.
