A few pages of accounts at the back of the book up to 1800 have been crossed out. The last page has entries for 1800 to 1808. With separate, alphabetical index (32.5x10cm) housed in a pocket at the front. The firm dealt chiefly with the supply of chemicals, in particular products relating to the early manufacture of sulphuric acid. See also MS 1190.
