Two manuscripts in French bound in one volume entitled: "Essai sur les fers coules Pour le Roy" and "Memoire sur la fonte et la Moulage des Bombes "

Although primarily military in purpose, the description of iron founding and casting is central to the text. Possibly produced for one of the French military schools specialising in artillery (Metz?).

The first work is neither dated nor assigned to an author; the second bears 'a Metz le 21.bre 1767 Signe Dangenoust'. Both works have accompanying folding plates bearing ink and colour wash drawings.
