Mainly relates to surveying, with trigonometrical examples and exercises, it includes basic farming advice and advice re purchase and letting of land. There are references to 'Hop Ground' and Canterbury, and to 'Mortimer p.56', probably John Mortimer's 'The whole art of husbandry; or the way of managing and improving the land' (1st ed. 1707).
