Collection of albums containing photographs mainly of Royal Navy ships

Anonymously compiled, these albums contain magazine, book, newspaper and original photographs, and post cards, of battle-cruisers, cruisers, frigates and submarines.

Comprise:

/1 British battle-cruisers;

/2 chiefly British cruisers from nineteenth century to 1918 - includes a few photos of sail and paddle frigates from the mid-nineteenth century;

/3 British cruisers, including World War I classes, 'C' and 'D' classes, 'Hawkins' class and 'County' class;

/4 British cruiser classes from York to Blake;

/5 Royal Navy 'Leander' class frigates; /6 British submarines from c1960 to 1990s.
