Dear Sir,

About a Year Since I had from
your store here a plated Tea Kitchen, wh [which]
was mark’d 10£. but you told me that an
Abatement should be made of that price.
I have not yet discharg’d the Debt, as you
have never inform’d me what the Abatemt [Abatement]
was to be. Please to let me know’st by a
Line, that I may settle it with Mr Matthews.
My best Respects to Mrs Boulton, and to M [illegible, possibly Messr’s]
Bakersville, Small, [illegible]. I am ever, with
great Esteem,

Dear Friend,

Yours most affectionately

B Franklin
