This collections of materials relates to the photographic career of Ken Danvers, a stills photographer who traditionally worked on film sets. The photographs in this collection include portraits, production shots, and photographs of film sequences. There are also small amounts of publicity materials and press cuttings for some of the films in question.
Included in the archive are photographic prints, negatives and some ephemera relating to films including Cleopatra, Lord Jim, The Guns of Navarone, Ryan's Daughter, Lawrence of Arabia, Suddenly Last Summer, The Fall of the Roman Empire, Where's Charley?, The Devil's Disciple, Around the World in 80 Days, Alexander the Great, The Pride and the Passion, On the Beach, Legend of the Lost, The Dirty Dozen, The Shoes of the Fisherman, and Suddenly Last Summer.
The archive also includes a small amount of correspondence and the manuscript for Danvers' unpublished memoirs.
