The photograph is a portrait of the Uruguayan politician who was the representative in the Council of the Opposition party, Colorades, which had been in power until the 1958 elections. Abdala was expected to be chosen as Presidential candidate in the 1966 origins. Of Lebanese origins, he spoke up for good Israeli-Arab relations in the Middle East.
