Photographs of King Mohammed Zahir of Afghanistan

Made:
1934-1967

maker:

The photographs relate to the reign of the subject. The Afghan king had absolute rule over his people though he was supposedly modern in his outlook on ruling. Apparently he was very interested in education and wanted to provide free education for all Afghan children. The photographs show him and his wife on various state tours and visits. The photographs were sourced from different press agencies. There are three files redirecting to General de Gaulle (1965); N Khruschev (1960); President Eisenhower - 11 Nation Tour 1959 (1959).
