A letter dated 10 November 1822 at Killingworth Colliery, Old Church Colliery, near Swansea. This letter is mainly concerned with locomotive design and gives directions for the erection of a small pumping engine for use in the Old Church Colliery pit. Passing mention is made of Mr. [Nicholas] Wood, with reference to the proposed use of a holing machine.
