A series of verbatim transcripts, taken from shorthand notes, of evidence provided to the commission by four claimants, Mr Cobden Turner, Mr Tomlin, Mr Lord and Mr Rollin. During the Second World War they were involved in the early development work on a proximity fuse, whilst working at Salford Electrical Instruments Ltd. There were a further three claiments to the award, Mr Coles, Mr Stratton and Mr Whitfield who were also represented at the proceedings.

There is also a file containing newspaper clippings related to the commission and the subsequent award to the inventors.
