A portfolio containing 20 photographs of early aircraft contemporaneous with the letter from Otto Lilienthal to T.J. Bennett. The first of these, MS/1943/2/1-6, show the glider mentioned in the letter. MS/1943/2/7-11 show tests undertaken by Sir Hiram Maxim at Baldwyn's Park while MS/1943/2/12 appears to show T.J. Bennett with the framework for a large trapezoidal kite. MS/1943/2/13-17 show a monoplane that was possibly based on the work of Penard and Stringfellow and MS/1943/2/18 and 19 show a double triplane box-kite model.
