Collection of archive material representing Jon Savage’s career in journalism in relation to Warsaw/Joy Division/New Order, Factory Records and Factory Communications Ltd.

Original posters, demo recordings, white label recordings, first pressing recordings, unofficial/non-Factory Records recordings, live recordings, videos and press cuttings relating to Warsaw/Joy Division;

Original posters, first pressing recordings, ephemera and videos relating to artists on Factory Records;

Original material consisting of emails, track listings, audio, research notes, ephemera and press cuttings relating to the development of compilations and box sets, including "Palatine", "Heart and Soul", and "Permanent";

Material relating to Jon Savage's involvement as a consultant on the Anton Corbijn film "Control", including an early script and press cuttings;

Material relating to Jon Savage's involvement as a consultant on the Grant Gee documentary "Joy Division", including scripts, audio recordings of interviews with the surviving members of Joy Division, audio recordings of interviews with contemporaries of Joy Division, interview transcripts, photographs, publications and other secondary source material;

Material relating to Jon Savage's involvement with the publications "Touching From a Distance" and "So This Is Permanence";

Material relating to Jon Savage's oral history of Joy Division "This Searing Light, the Sun and Everything Else", including original audio recordings of interviews with the surviving members of Joy Division, interview transcripts;

Proofs and consultation manuscripts for "Who Killed Martin Hannett?" and "Shadowplayers: the Rise and Fall of Factory Records";

Material relating to the legacy of Joy Division, including meeting notes, correspondence and object lists for the exhibition "Unknown Pleasures" at Macclesfield Museum and press cuttings.
