A collection of material that relates to H.J. Round's work as a consultant engineer and especially that undertaken after 1945. The majority of this relates to work he undertook for the Marconi International Marine Communications Company on ultrasonic anti-fouling of ships. This includes a great deal of technical notes, sketches, diagrams and charts along with reports and notes on the investigations he undertook. Beyond this there is also a typed draft copy of Magnetic Amplifiers Part II, three reports from the Marconi Company and some correspondence with the company. Finally there are some items relating to his own research including a notebook entitled 'General Notes on Ideas etc 1945-46', a folder containing research and a patent application for a 3D cinema system, and a photograph of himself with a note on the back: 'Dad taken by Mum before married'.
