For more than a century, the Lamson companies were the principal suppliers of ‘cash railways’ (equipment for expediting financial transactions in shops) and pneumatic dispatch tubes for cash handling. The collection comprises three company minute books, loose papers that include memoranda and articles of association, correspondence, agreements and reports on formation of the company, as well as a short history of the Dart Cash Carrier Company.
