Part II Applied Thermodynamics Course Work

A folder containing marked course work on Applied Thermodynamics, produced by Leonard Landon Goodman and certified on 26 June 1947 by W K Rooney. The folder includes notes, experiments and diagrams covering different types of combustion engines, tests and turbines. The first experiment in the folder concerns checking the valve setting in a National (horizontal type) gas engine working on the Otto cycle. This is a similar engine to the National engine in the Science and Industry Museum's collection.
