the books proposed were next considered and a small publication of [struck through] the “Deluge”
price 2/6 was ordered. The secretary reported that he had seen J Fothergill and that he expressed his readiness to deliver lectures to the members of the Institution – the Sub-committee for canvassing the town for Subscriptions and Donations were requested to continue their services and report wh [struck through] the amount of the subscriptions to our next meeting with a view of discontinuing the minutes and ascertaining the state of the fund.

5th day 30/11mo. After breakfast went to business engaged with accounts and writing – after tea attended a meeting of the Trustees of the Darlington Auxiliary Building Society, held in N. Rymer’s office, to examine the several deeds belonging to the Society preparatory to their being lodged in the hands of the Treasurers to the Society & found them correct.
