Medicinal water bottle, with contents from Elisha's spring, Jericho, collected March, 1928

In the biblical book of Kings, the prophet Elisha is described as purifying the water of Jericho. Elisha's Spring is the name given to the spring that tradition identifies as the site of this purification.
