Curved knife, steel, with wooden handle, used for Caesarian section, from Uganda, 1830-1879

A knife allegedly used for Caesarian sections and two surgical instruments, from the Banyankore people, Ankole (Nkore) kingdom. The curved knife was collected by Dr. Robert Felkin, who witnessed its actual use in Uganda, Central Africa, in a Caesarean section.
