Rectangular ornate "Scripture/parables" book covers, made of carton pierre, 19th century. A gothic design; identical on both covers; each cover divided into three registers which are again subscribed into three sections. Four corners contain heads of bull, woman, eagle and lion. Corners separated by sectons containing holly bushes. In centre, rectangular section containing figure of a man sowing seed, encircled by leaflet border and scrolls containing title scripture parables
