Specimen bottle of materia medica 'acacia'

Clear glass bottle, cylindrical in shape, with a wide chunky base and rim at top structure. Glass stopper with inverted truncated cone, rectangular finger grip on top. Bottom is marked with object number but not part number.

Contents appear to be irregular sized nodules of amber coloured gum, above which rests a piece of printed paper. Some pieces of the nodules appear to have crumbled and coat the inside of a portion of the bottle. Container is full.

Handwritten label on the bottom reads 'GUM. / ARABIC. / XVII CENT.' in black ink.
