Bottle of "Meloden" pills, by Allied Laboratories Ltd., London.
These bright tablets look more like silver buttons than a medical treatment. ‘Meloden’ tablets were used for the treatment of mental and physical exhaustion, anaemia and clinical depression and were available on prescription. One or two tablets, to be swallowed without chewing, were taken before or during meals.
