Cylindrical amber-coloured glass bottle, rounded shoulders, tubular neck, reinforced indented base, banded rim and flat-topped stopper. Bottle embossed on one side with the word 'CHLOROFORM' and on the opposite side with lines for fluid measurements from 10 to 50 (possibly cubic centimetres). Printed paper label (stained pink) reads 'Sanitats-Depot 18. A.-K / Frankfurt a. M. / Nartcosechloroform 50g'. Label stamped '19 JAN 1918'. Inventory record notes an association with the German Army [18th Army Corp.] in Frankfurt.
