Dry gas meter, 20 light: 576mm height x 290mm depth x 450mm width, painted brown. Made by Alder and Mackay to a patent registered 17th December 1864, no.4682. Centre boss depicts a winged angel with flaming torch. Made of Cast iron no. 328920, with 5 dials for units, 100s, 1000s, 10000s of cubic feet, the first dial calibrated 1-5, the remainder 0-9, 1-10, 1-10, 1-10.
