Hospital dressing trolley consisting of plastic swab bowl on metal tripod frame, used in Breath of Life Exhibition (1974), English, 1970-1974

This dressing trolley was used to hold instruments and dressings on wards or in surgical theatres. The plastic bowl is called a swab bowl. Having casters on the dressing trolley makes it easy for the hospital staff to move instruments to where they are needed before returning them to the steriliser.
