Pewter infant's feeding bottle, probably Swiss, 1771-1800
Infants were fed pap (bread or flour diluted with water) or panada (bread broth and legumes mixed with fats or eggs) through this pewter feeding bottle. Pap and panada supplemented breast milk. Engraved with a floral pattern this bottle was probably made in Switzerland.
