Silver wand of a Scottish medical institution, hallmarked I.G. in London, English, 1855. Possibly made by R.&S. Garrard & Co, 1843-1909, London silversmiths. Cylindrical baton with a thistle with two demons or pixies sitting on it at one end, at the other end is a length of fluting with a snake coiled around it, surmounted by a dome and sphere.
