Li Tieguai (Iron-Crutch Li) is a patron of doctors and pharmacists in Chinese tradition. He is depicted as an old beggar with a crutch and a gourd pot full of medicine, which he used to heal those who are sick or in need. His trademark crutch and gourd are still used to advertise traditional Chinese pharmacies.
