Both have well carved toes. Made in Belgium c.1914.

Pair of old tripods for checking the correct length of walking sticks (or crutches). The patient walks with temporary sticks firmly clamped between the jaws of the platforms and their length may then be adjusted. The pair then issued will be cut to the correct length. Origin unknown c.1930.
