Artificial left, pylon type, from Provisional Limbs Depot, Salford, 1914-1920. Issued to wounded servicemen, the leg is made of fiber and was intended as a temporary limb to enable the wearer get used to an artificial leg while waiting for the fitting of a more permanent prostheses.
