Apothecary's sign, Rod of Asclepius (Greek: Asklepios; Latin: Aesculapius), wood, with iron cross-bar for weighing pans, British, 1780-1820. Has been displayed with (A631345) 'Mahogany desk top with scales attached', and (E2015.0517.17) 'Two 'mock-up' copper weighing pans on metal chains'.
