Unopened bottle of Hunyadi Janos mineral water, by Andreas Saxlehner, Budapest, Hungary, 1900-1920

Hunyadi Janos is a curative mineral water that has been used since 1863 as an aperient. The laxative effect of the water can be attributed to the minerals sodium sulphate and magnesium sulphate. It has been used to combat inflammation, bloating and constipation. The water is named after the celebrated fifteenth century Hungarian leader, Hunyadi Janos.
