Four reaction vessels (two of silicon, one of Worcester porcelain and one of silver), used by Prof. C.N. Hinshelwood for studying the kinetics of high temperature gas reactions, 1930s

These reaction vessels were used by Sir C. N. Hinshelwood and co-workers between 1920-30. Hinshelwood later received a Nobel Prize for his work.
