Glass and rubber atomizer, for asthma, by Dr. R. and Dr. O. Weil, in original carton, Frankfurt, Germany
Medicinal liquid was turned into a fine spray by squeezing the rubber bung. The spray was inhaled through the glass mouthpiece. This atomiser claimed to treat diseases and conditions associated with the lungs and airways. These included asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough and croup. The device was one of many patented medical items available to the public towards the end of the 1800s. It was made by Drs R. and O. Weil in Frankfurt, Germany.
