Low resolution balsa wood model of histone made at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge
Histone is the name given to a group of proteins found with DNA and used during DNA replication and gene activity. They act as ‘spool’ around which the DNA can wind.
The model was made and lent by the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the University of Cambridge.
