Barber's shaving bowl, zinc, by J. Charles, Paris, 19th century

This bowl is inscribed around the rim, reading "Le Melanogene Dicquemare de Rouen. Teint les Cheveux & la barbe" and at the centre is a depiction of a similar bowl in use.
