Brass wash basin, used in Charing Cross Hospital, 19th century
This wash basin came from Charing Cross Hospital. It may have been used to wash dressings and bandages or used for water for bed baths. Charing Cross Hospital began in 1823 as a charitable institution known as the West London Infirmary. It became the Charing Cross Hospital in 1827.
