‘Facing the Challenge of Aids into the 90s’ leaflet
circa 1991
Selection of 18 printed leaflets, 1 Christmas card and a selection of correspondence of Health Education material concerned with issues surrounding AIDS (HIV), produced by the Terrence Higgins Trust, London, c. 1991
This is a collection of leaflets and fundraising material designed both to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and encourage donations to help fund the work of the British charity, The Terrence Higgins Trust. The Terrence Higgins Trust was set up in 1982 in memory of Terrence Higgins, the first person to die from AIDS in the United Kingdom.
This diverse collection includes information about HIV and AIDS for people in prison, those using drugs, and churchgoers who may be concerned about the potential dangers faced by a congregation that shares communion wine from the same chalice.
