Chart illustrated with coloured cartoons, with explanatory text on reverse side, promoting Tetanus immunisation in pregnant women, produced by the Ministry of Health, Uganda, in association with UNICEF, 1980-1993
Posters are one way to campaign and raise awareness about the importance of tetanus vaccinations for pregnant women. The image is repeated to show that pregnant women should be immunised twice; once when newly pregnant and again when eight months’ pregnant. The caption for the image reads: “This mother in this picture is very wise. She knows that tetanus can kill new-born babies, so she has come to be immunised against tetanus.”
