Pair of brown plastic spectacle frames with gold trim, design name Evrard, by Frame France, 1970-1980

These plastic spectacle frames were fashionable in the 1970s. Plastic frames were introduced after the Second World War and were cheap to manufacture. These spectacles were made by a company called Frame France. This design was named ‘Evrard.’ They were probably worn by a fashion-conscious woman. Spectacles are still a fashion accessory. A wide range of designs are available from major designers and fashion houses.
