Issued by John Williams, mining magnate. obverse, Redruth. pumping engine and winding machine. reverse, three industries of copper tin and pilchards. [Issuer Unknown, 1811, 1d. Obverse Pumping engine and horse whim. Reverse Ingots of copper and tin, a fish. Notes The objects depicted on the reverse relate to the county’s main industries of mining and fishing (pilchards and herring). The token was probably for general use in Cornwall.]
