Baker-Brown's cautery clamp, thin blades with auxilliary ivory plates and screw clamps, handles backed by horn plates, by Collin, from Charriere, Collin and Gentile collection, c. 1870
This instrument consists of thin blades with auxiliary ivory plates and screw clamps, and has handles that are backed by horn plates. It was manufactured by Collin of Paris, France and is from the Charrierre, Colin and Gentile collection. The clamp is a type designed by the surgeon Isaac Baker Brown (1812-1873) for use with a cautery iron
